Thought I’d stop by and say hey.
Hey!
Since the last few weeks (okay, possibly months) I have not posted very frequently, I want to come by and reassure you. I still love you. I still want to make things with kale and millet to feel healthy and then bake five kinds of treats rapid-fire with chocolate, sugar, and butter to quickly cancel out my good decisions before they start to count. I want to ask you things like what really obnoxious things people do on Facebook that make you want to leap off a cliff and then check my email first thing in the morning because your comments always make me laugh.
And as soon as my boards are over on October 23rd, those things will commence.
So get your baking sheets and parchment paper ready, my friends.
But only kind of ready, because I still have three weeks left of studying.
I may still post every once in a while, but I’m not letting myself keep to a schedule because studying needs to be my priority–and I may or may not be really susceptible to using blogging as a highly effective procrastination method. (I reached my two study goals for today, in case you are wondering).
So here’s three things:
1) Henry. ’Cause I know you miss him.
He is a fierce lion. So fast, no autofocus can catch him.
2) The recipe I made today, originally posted last year sometime: Honey Sesame Chicken. One of the quickest dinner recipes on my blog, and loved by all.
So delicious, and so easy. I served it with edemame and gooey arborio rice with coconut milk stirred in during the last few minutes of cooking. I also cut up some portobellos and treated them like the chicken. Oh, and topped with toasted coconut instead of sesame seeds, ’cause it turns out I don’t have any more sesame seeds.
3) I took senior pictures of my baby sister today. It’s weird, because I’m pretty sure babies can’t be seniors in high school.
Not sure when that happened.
4) Onions. Sent to Long Island from Syracuse from Dad’s garden via Mom. Concentrated, super-strong, little onions on my windowsill.
Miss you! Hope to be back soon!

Thanks for the Henry fix. I had wondered why my notifications from you had slowed, but perhaps this gives me a change to revisit all of those posts I saved for “another day when I have more time.”
Good luck on your boards!
