Introducing Lauren Zietsman, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Look what I did yesterday!

That’s my dad and my younger sister, Kristen, both of whom flew from Syracuse and back in less than 12 hours just to attend my graduation.

Nice outfit I had to wear, huh?

Thanks to my friends Cait and Jeff for the pictures, and congrats to Jeff for graduating right alongside me!

It was a lot of work and seven years in the making, but it feels great to now be able to say that I’m a real, live, grown-up physical therapist.

Also notable is how long my hair got since I started PT school.  Here’s what it used to look like:

And look–it’s a teenager Henry!

He was going to the vet, hence the sad face.

Though I am loving having long hair for now, I think I may eventually go back to this length–I think it’s the most flattering on me of any style (though the dress-up clothes, make-up, and self-tanner might make the cut deceivingly attractive):

What do you think?  One thing I’m absolutely certain about is that I will never, ever have bangs again.

Anyway, that was quite the bunny trail to go down. Mostly, I’m just excited to have graduated!  Celebrations shall commence at the vineyards with Fritz, who has finally returned home.

Oh, yes, Fritz has been gone for two weeks and just returned home today!  I hesitated to mention that I was alone for two weeks on the blog because, well, you know–you never know what crazy people are out there.  But it has been very tough!  I definitely realized how difficult it is to live just my regular life without him around to share my thoughts with.  So happy to have him back.

He was on an outreach mission with school doing dentistry for American Indians in South Dakota.  What an awesome guy.
