Family Time

Fritz and I managed to make it back to upstate New York last night to get in a long weekend with the family.

Today consisted of some of my favorite people, doing my favorite things.  We went to Skaneateles lake to pick up a late lunch and had a great time lounging on a blanket, chatting, taking pictures, and eating greasy fried seafood from Doug’s Fish Fry.

Not something I eat often, but something I definitely love every bite of, every time.  Mmm mmm good.

I also love just getting to be around my family so much.

Here’s the first man I ever loved:

And my main squeeze (hard to believe how freakin’ handsome he is!):

Can’t forget my beautiful mama:

And my baby sister, who is growing up to be not so much of a baby.  At all.

But I’ll still call her Baby J until I die.

Jordi is blessed with a bone structure that most of us just dream of.  Even her “I’m thinking about what college I want to go to and how to find more black clothes to buy and how I will never let my sister near me with a flat iron ever again” face is stunning.

Tomorrow holds a lot more of this in store for us.

Nothing better than family snuggles, you know?  Especially when you live far away.

What are you doing this weekend?

    You made me so homesick for Upstate New York! I grew up outside of Binghamton and now live in Boston. I need to plan a trip back soon. Your family is adorable.

    Okay, can I just say that I’m kind of spazzing out? I just found your blog recently (and am absolutely loving it by the way) but I live in Skaneateles! AHH! Sorry…I just can’t help myself ^^;;
